Event Details
Since the first festival in 1970 the Glastonbury festival has become the largest Greenfield festival in the world attracting around 175,000 revellers.
Phil West, First Great Western’s Special Events Manager and Colin Stanaway of the IRO South West & Wales Area Council will provide an insight into the planning, preparation required to transform the normally tranquil Castle Cary Station into a thriving transport interchange for festival goers and the management of large scale special events that require interface between both road and rail operations.
