If you have always dreamt of driving a £3 million train then you can do just this at the Driver Simulator. Not as easy as it looks, you will be given a few unexpected incidents to deal with whilst sat in the Drivers seat. The simulator is used to train new Drivers and test experienced ones in a safe controlled environment, with very realistic controls in a full cab mock up. It can help to give the confidence to Drivers after operational incidents that just wouldn’t be possible on the live railway. Our hosts are Driver Trainers so will be able to keep us ‘on track’ during the event.

There are only 10 places available for this event, as we are expecting this event to be very popular we will be putting names into a hat and drawing randomly if the number of attendee’s exceeds 10.

Please note that event is during the day time. Meet at Derby Station at 12:45 for a 13:15 start at the Training Centre. The event will run for approximately 2 hours. Email julia.stanyard@networkrail.co.uk to register your interest.
