Event Details

On Monday 30th January 2017 we welcome Chris Curtis, Head of Crossrail 2 for Network Rail. Chris will provide a valuable overview of this exciting project, including how the operation of the line is being considered right from the outset.

Crossrail 2 is a proposed new railway that would serve London and the wider South East. It would connect the National Rail networks in Surrey and Hertfordshire via new tunnels and stations between Wimbledon, Tottenham Hale and New Southgate, linking in with London Underground, London Overground, Crossrail 1 and national and international rail services.

Crossrail 2 would add significant capacity to the regional rail network, and improve journey times across the South East. It would also support economic regeneration by providing the infrastructure needed to support 200,000 new homes and 200,000 new jobs.  The project is in the initial stages of planning and design, with work progressing towards the submission of a Hybrid Bill to Parliament in 2019.
