Network Rail’s Route Managing Director – Western, Patrick Hallgate will deliver a presentation to the IRO South West & Wales Area looking back over the challenges faced since taking on the role in 2011. Patrick leads a team of over 2,500 people who are transforming the Western Route in a £6bn upgrade, the biggest investment programme on the route since Victorian times and will also be looking ahead to future challenges both on the Western and further afield.
Members of the South West & Wales Area Council will also be on hand and will be happy to tell you more about the Institution, including events, membership and Learning & Development Opportunities.
