Please meet at the Depot Gatehouse at 17:30 (nearest Metrolink Stop – Trafford Bar). Please note that limited car parking is available at Metrolink Trafford Depot.
This is an opportunity for members to visit Metrolink’s southern depot (the original is still operating at Queen’s Road, north of Victoria station). Our visit will take place as the evening peak is drawing to a close and trams are returning to the depot for servicing and maintenance. We will see something of the work that goes on to ensure that each vehicle is fit to operate on the next day. We will also hear how Metrolink are planning for the introduction of new services over the Second City Crossing in Manchester city centre, with additional vehicles, additional drivers and a new timetable.
