Event Details

We are pleased to invite IRO members to join us on a visit to Wimbledon Traincare Depot on 1st June. Wimbledon is one of busiest traincare depots in the Wessex route, dealing with a variety of rolling stock and facing new challenges preparing to receive over a 100 new carriges to maintain as part of the HLOS programme. We will have an overview of the depot and its current challenges with a Q&A session with Depot Manager Neill O’Connor and a tour of the Maintenance shed, lift shop and Bogie drop, the depot sidings and finally cleaning shed and top yard.

Places are strictly limited for this visit so you must book in advance. To register your interest in this visit please contact Omar Soares: se.comms@railwayoperators.co.uk. Omar will contact all applicants to let them know whether you have a place on the visit or not and with details of the meeting place. The start time will be 15:45.

Please ensure you wearing appropriate footwear (Flat sole shoes) for the visit. PPE will be supplied
