In recent years UK railways have seen record levels of investment. The government puts together the High Level Output Specification (HLOS) which defines its five-year strategy for railway investment. But how is it drawn up and how do we then deliver it as an industry?
Who better to explain this to us than the man who has been responsible for HLOS since its inception in the 2005 Railways Act? David Sexton from the Department of Transport will explain the current CP5 strategy but will also look back on CP4 and ahead to CP6.
Refreshments will be available from 17:30 and after the event, plus a group of members usually go for dinner afterwards.
