Members were given the opportunity to practice driving a 185 Trans Pennine Express unit at the FTPE driving simulation facility at York.

Each member took away with them an illuminating experience of driving a train at up to 100 mph using a sophisticated driving simulator. The two instructors (Dave Hudson and Steve Jackson) from FTPE provided a comprehensive explanation of driving training using this facility. The members were very grateful to them and FTPE for this exceptional opportunity.

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you for tonight. I really appreciated the privilege to have been able to be a part of this evening at York.” – Andy Rose
