Event Details

Date: Tuesday 7th October 2014
Time: 1700hrs for 1730hrs
Location: Rail Operating Centre, York

The building which will house the state of the art York Rail Operating Centre (ROC) is now open, and will be replacing signal-boxes and other operational locations currently used to control trains. The centre which is currently being fitted out for its future role will have more advanced signalling tools and technology that will help reduce delays, improve performance, increase capacity, provide better information to passengers and offer better value for money.

This is your opportunity to visit the new ROC and Training Centre, meet the Project Manager (Route Operating Strategy) Jon Fenn who will talk about the biggest single project in many years and a conducted tour the new facility.

The visit is strictly limited in number so an early application is strongly recommended as places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. However in the event of over-subscription priority will be given to IRO education programme students.

To reserve a place email your details including membership grade and area to David Monk-Steel at northeast@railwayoperators.co.uk.
