This one-year course is ideal for anyone who went straight into work after school or those who are relatively new to the rail industry.  

You will examine a wide spectrum of knowledge in railway operations and be encouraged to understand the railway as a system. This course will be guided through six modules that focus on improving confidence and competency in railway operations.

IRO - CertHEThis course will help you to:  

  • Gain a broad understanding of the railway industry and your place within it
  • Critically think about the issues you face and better understand the various factors that can influence your role
  • Work proactively as an individual, or as part of a team, to apply best practice and theory in the workplace
